Steve Jobs: Technology was Art for Him‍

Apple is one of the world's tech giants. All world class technology products like iPhone, iPad, iMac, iPod have set them apart from everyone else. Whether it's for publicity or product quality, Apple means something elite.

Apple is now known to the public mainly because of the iPhone. But this company started by making personal computer. Another name has become synonymous with the history of Apple's incredible rise. The name is Steve Paul Jobs. This technology entrepreneur and technology innovator has been   the pioneer of the personal computer revolution.

Steve Jobs was born on February 24, 1955, in San Francisco, California. Jobs was the first child of University of Winkinson graduate Abdul Fattah John Jandali and Joan Carroll. His biological father Abdul Fattah John Jandali was an Syrian who settled down in the United States in the mid-1950s. At the time of Jobs' birth, his parents were both postgraduate students. And they weren't married yet. So they decided to adopt their nameless child. Paul and Clara Jobs, a childless couple, adopted Steve Jobs. The name Steve Paul Jobs was given by them.

Jobs was admitted to Reed College in 1972 after overcoming high school boundaries. But Reed College was quite expensive for the Liberal Arts. It was difficult for the indigent Paul-Clara couple to bear the cost. Realizing the matter, he said goodbye to formal education on his own. Although after a short break, he again joined some more classes, including calligraphy. But that was only for a temporary period. The calligraphy class later helped Jobs with computer design.

Steve Jobs has always been indifferent to money. Neither poverty nor great wealth touched him. While in college, Jobs used to say, “I didn't have a room. I slept on the floor of a friend's room. I used to earn five cents by returning a bottle of coke used by people, with which I used to buy food. Every Sunday night I would walk seven miles to the Harekrishna temple just to have a good meal. ”

But this statement is in stark contrast to Jobs' personality. Jobs was very confident, stubborn and in a bad mood even without money.

Jobs met Steve Wozniak in 1970 through a friend. Despite the age difference of 4 years, it was not too late for them to become friends. The love for electronics brings them one way. At the time, Jobs regularly attended meetings at the Homebrew Computer Club with Wozniak.

The first thing they made together in 1972 was a blue box. With the help of this device, you could fool the telephone and talk anywhere in the world for free. Though It was against the law. But it is very popular among the people. They also made about 6,000$ by selling this device.

In 1994 Jobs said an interview that it took them six months to figure out how to make a blue box. If Blue Box hadn't been made, Apple might not have existed.

In 1974, Jobs joined Attire, a game-building company, as an engineer. But for some strange reason Jobs left everything and went on a trip to India. After staying in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh for about seven months, he left India and returned home. During this time he started dressing in the Indian style and became accustomed to fasting and became a follower of Buddhism.

In 1976 the rise of Rasel started swiftly. This year he co-founded "Apple Computer" with Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Initially they started the business by selling circuit boards. That same year, Wozniak invented the "Apple-1" computer in a single effort. And after showing Jobs, Jobs suggested selling it.

Apple Computer was established in that famous garage of Jobs for the purpose of selling it. By Jobs' marketing genius started selling "Apple-1" computers for 666.66$.

One of the reasons behind this strange price was that Jobs and Wozniak preferred repetition of numbers, and it was easier to type 666.66 than 667 or 500.

Jobs was humble and confident from the beginning.

Although Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak are better known as the founders of Apple, there were three founders of the company in the beginning. The third was Ronald Wayne. He painted the first Apple logo. But Wayne sold his 10% shares for only 800 on debt. Its current value is more than 35 billion dollars!

After Wayne left, Jobs encouraged Wozniak to focus on making and assembling computer parts. In 1977, they made a computer of better quality than "Apple-1". Named "Apple-2". The two friends were able to guess that "Apple-2" is better than any other computer in the market.

So they started thinking about how to reach more people. But capital was needed to do that. So they went to Mike Markculla, a former product marketing manager of Intel, hoping to get money. Mike Markculla didn't make the mistake of recognizing these extraordinary talents. At the beginning he gave them a capital of two and a half million dollars.

As a result, on June 5 the "Apple-2" came on the market with a colored monitor in a plastic case. Apple Inc. was founded this year. Within two years, Apple's business was established. There was a rush to buy personal computers all over the world. In that tide, "Apple-2" did not take long time to be number one.

When Steve Jobs' wealth exceeded 200 million by December 1980, he was only 25 years old. Of course, Jobs has not always been successful. In the early eighties, Jobs' sole interest was to market a personal computer called the Apple Lisa. Priced at, 9,995$. But due to the high price, it could not benefit the market.

In the 21st century, Apple's new product had created a festival, and as soon as a new product comes on the market, occurred a worldwide outcry.

In October 1983, Jobs announced the creation of the "Macintosh" computer. The Macintosh computer came on the market in January 1984. Jobs never worked for money. His whole thought was how to bring another revolutionary product in front of everyone.

But many were annoyed with Jobs' indifference. As a result, he resigned from Apple in 1985 after a dispute with members of Apple Inc.'s board of directors. He then founded the famous animation studio Pixar and Next Computer.

In 1990, Jobs had started marketing a personal computer called 'Next Station'. On the other hand, Pixar began making animated films under a contract with Disney. It was Pixar that produced the animated film Toy Story in 1995 and was a huge success. After that, Pixar has made all the popular animated movies like A Bugs Life (1998), Toy Story 2 (1999), Finding Nemo (2003) and Toy Story 3 (2010). Even today, Pixar is at the forefront of the animation world.

In 1996, Apple bought Next Computer for 429 million and hired Jobs as a consultant. Although he served as part-time CEO, Jobs became Apple's permanent CEO in 2000. Stuck in a loss-making circle, Apple grabbed Jobs' and began to see the face of profit again.

Jobs, a highly skilled designer, launched the first iPhone on June 29, 2007 to make the touchscreen readily available and popular, which quickly rose to the top of the consumer's choice. Earlier, Jobs brought iPod and iPad to the market with a mixture of excellent technology and modernity. The iPod revolutionized the music market in the digital world.

Jobs resigned as Apple's chief executive in August 2011. But even then he continued to serve as chairman of the company. Jobs received a salary of only 1$ a year as Apple's chief executive. He used to say jokingly, he gets 50 cents a year from Apple for attending the annual conference and the remaining 50 cents for his work.

In fact, he owned 5,426 million shares of Apple and 138 million shares of Disney. According to Forbes Magazine, Jobs was named the 43rd richest person in the United States at 8.3 million in 2010.

In private life, she married Lauren Powell in 1991. Steve Jobs was the father of four children. Jobs was diagnosed with complex pancreatic cancer in 2003. He underwent surgery at that time.He was diagnosed with a tumor three years later and had a liver transplant in 2009. Jobs died of pancreatic cancer on October 5, 2011.

Jobs' autobiography 'Becoming Steve Jobs' was published on March 24, 2015. In addition, the film 'The Rise of Apple Inc.' in 2013 has shown the ups and downs of this extraordinary man's life. Several films and documentaries has released based on Jobs life.

‘Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish’ is a short four word advice he gave to young people. And I think this extraordinary talented man was able to bring all the extraordinary technology in our hands, keeping this in mind throughout his life. That's why the irresistible attraction of people to all of Apple's extraordinary technology products made by him and the worldwide fame of Pixar's animation will keep him immortal for many centuries.
